About The Position

The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs technical, non-invasive vascular procedures and ensures quality test results to assist physicians in diagnosing vascular disorders. Working at a technical level under limited supervision, the technologist independently performs vascular procedures. The work requires vascular expertise, analysis, discretion, and sound judgment in decision-making. The role requires knowledge and understanding of age-related care needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. External contacts include patients, family members, and physicians; internal contacts include nursing service staff and management. Pulse Heart Institute is a physician-led institute with multispecialty partnerships in cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, and cardiovascular services. Its programs provide cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care, including complex structural heart disease and interventions, advanced heart failure services, and advanced imaging technologies.

Requirements

Satisfactory completion of the RVT certification examination and/or ARDMS becoming a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Minimum two years of college coursework preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in vascular imaging preferred.
