About The Position

Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees. Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.

Requirements

• Licensure in the State of Texas and ARDMS registry required
• Associate's degree or its equivalent and certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience in vascular sonography preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians
• Operates Vascular Sonography equipment as directed by physicians in accordance with vascular sonography quality assurance and quality control
• Maintains department records, reports, charts and files
• Perform Vascular Studies including but not limited to: Carotid Scans, Venous Scans, Abdominal Scans, Arterial Doppler's Graft/Stent Scans, and Ultrasound Guided Biopsies
• Prepares results to review with physicians
• Performs other related tasks as directed by supervisor
