About The Position

Responsible for performing a variety of duties in relation to imaging patients and ensuring smooth operations of the Ultrasound department while providing appropriate levels of patient care and customer service. The Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT) performs high-quality, non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols. This role is responsible for producing diagnostic images of the arterial and venous systems, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality requirements. We are seeking a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) to join our growing cardiovascular team. This role is primarily focused on vascular ultrasound; however, we strongly encourage applicants with dual registry (RVT/RDCS) or cardiac experience to apply. Opportunities to maintain and expand echocardiography skills are available within our department. (For vascular department only)

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Radiology/Ultrasound/Ultrasound or Certificate Program in Radiology/Ultrasound
  • RDMS or AART (S) registered or registry eligible
  • Registry eligible, must have proof of passing ARDMS SPI exam prior to start date and passing score on any one corresponding specialty exam within six months of hire
  • BLS
  • Must be vascular certified with RVT, RVS, AART (VS)
  • 1-3 years Vascular Sonography experience preferred (for the Vascular Department only)

Nice To Haves

  • Applicants with dual registry (RVT/RDCS) or cardiac experience

Responsibilities

  • Performs ultrasound and radiography exams as appropriate
  • Utilizes PACS and EMR systems.
  • Maintain appropriate IV/Contrast competency (Breast Center locations not required).
  • Follows established protocols and procedures for proper patient position, exposure control, and radiation protection.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with all involved in the patient care process.
  • Cleans and inspects departmental equipment
  • Cleans and stocks Imaging rooms
  • Performs vascular ultrasound exams as appropriate
  • Utilizes Merge and EMR systems
  • Maintains appropriate IV/Contrast competency (Echo only ).
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with all involved in patient care process
  • Cleans and inspects departmental equipment
  • Cleans and stocks exam rooms
