About The Position

Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus. This position is a casual, part-time role. Under the direction of a site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures, the Vascular Ultrasonographer performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. The role follows the Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times. The position involves performing a full range of diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, peripheral arterial/venous, and visceral vascular studies, in a dedicated vascular lab with board-certified reading vascular surgeons. The role may also involve acting as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal experience as gained at student level.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
• Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required
• Or CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required
• Or CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Cardiac 1 Year required
• Or CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Within 1 year of hire required for Vascular Department
