About The Position

Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus. This position is for a Vascular Ultrasonographer on a PRN (as needed) basis. The role involves performing accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation, following the Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care. The position requires performing a full range of diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, peripheral arterial/venous, and visceral vascular studies, in a dedicated vascular lab with board-certified reading vascular surgeons. The role may also involve acting as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent.
• Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal experience as gained at student level.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.
• Sonographer (S) - ARDMS certification (excluding Cardiac) required.
• Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS certification (excludes Cardiac, General, Vascular) required.
• Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS certification (excludes Cardiac, Vascular) required.
• Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS certification (excludes Cardiac, Vascular) required.
• Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS certification (Cardiac) required.
• Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) required.
• Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS certification within 1 year of hire for the Vascular Department required.

Nice To Haves

• RVT credentials are required for this Vascular Ultrasound position.
