About The Position

This role is responsible for evaluating patients for peripheral vascular disease by selecting and performing diagnostic procedures. The technologist ensures accurate patient positioning, parameter selection, and monitors patient stability, alerting physicians to critical abnormalities. They also deliver high-quality imaging and clinical histories to PACS, maintaining standards for lead markers and documentation. Additionally, the role involves managing equipment health and ensuring procedural areas meet compliance standards.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography(ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) also accepted.
  • Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Maryland Board of Physicians required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Delivers high-quality imaging and comprehensive clinical histories to PACS, maintaining meticulous standards for lead markers and diagnostic documentation.
  • Manages equipment health and department readiness, ensuring all diagnostic tools are functional and procedural areas meet rigorous compliance standards.
