Requirements

  • ARDMS or CCI registry in vascular ultrasound preferred.
  • Associate degree in vascular technology/ General Ultrasound preferred, or minimum one year experience preferred.
  • Bachelor degree in ultrasound preferred.
  • CPR certification on hire.
  • BCLS (AHA) certificate within 60 days of hire.
  • Previous experience in performing vascular ultrasound of all ages preferred, especially hospital-based experience.
  • Effective July 1, 2017 ARDMS (RVT) Required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all phases of diagnostic vascular sonography.
  • Procedures include but are not necessarily limited to Abdominal Vascular (Liver, Renal, and Mesenteric), L.E. & U.E. Venous Doppler, Carotid, Renal Transplant, Liver Transplant, Pancreases transplant, Finger and Toe PPG’s Chronic Venous, TCD and Nielsen Cold Challenge procedures.
  • Promote mission statement by delivering high quality, cost effective, family-orientated service.
  • Create a collaborative environment by integrating education, research and clinical leadership.
  • Perform vascular sonography on infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
  • Promote the smooth and efficient operation of the department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department including document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.
  • Meet all requirements set forth by accreditation (ICAEL and ICAVL) and governing bodies, including JCAHO, federal and state bodies, and department-specific requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
