About The Position

The Vascular Technician will perform arterial and venous diagnostic procedures using high frequency sound waves on adult patients to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting the circulation. Collaborates with physician in charge and Operations Manager on technical issues and equipment performance QA. Instill the IMS mission, vision and values in the work performed.

Requirements

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact w/people from different backgrounds and cultures
Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion
Knowledge of and follow HIPPA guidelines and secure Protected Health Information at all times
2-5 yrs of work experience in Vascular required

Responsibilities

Completes patients' medical history, evaluate pulses and assess blood flow in arteries and veins by listening to the vascular flow sounds for abnormalities, and assure the appropriate vascular test has been ordered
Performs a noninvasive procedure using ultrasound instruments to record vascular information such as vascular blood flow, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, cerebral circulation, peripheral circulation, and abdominal circulation
Conducts basic equipment maintenance, quality control measures, and report abnormal findings (if immediate attention is indicated)
Completes necessary documentation, charge capture, logs and records
Attend regularly scheduled QA meetings for the vascular department
Confirm appointments with patients and follow patient scheduling protocols
