About The Position

Under the supervision of the vascular surgeon, the technologist performs noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations, takes pertinent patient history, preliminary interpretation of examinations, and provides a written or verbal preliminary report to the reading physician. The role is also responsible for maintaining the condition of all testing equipment and vascular lab rooms.

Requirements

• Associates or vocational degree from an accredited program.
• Registered Vascular Technologist or eligible.
• Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Take pertinent patient history.
• Provide preliminary interpretation of examinations.
• Provide written or verbal preliminary report to the reading physician.
• Maintain condition of all testing equipment and vascular lab rooms.
