About The Position
Vascular Technologists assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of disorders affecting the vascular system. Vascular technologists perform noninvasive vascular exams in order to assess for vascular disease or disorders. Vascular technologists work with a high level of independence. The vascular sonographer is responsible for providing patient care and safety throughout the exam. The sonographer should know how to respond appropriately in emergencies.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited vascular technology program.
- Experience performing vascular exams.
- Cardiovascular Technologist and Technician certification.
- Registered Vascular Technologist certification.
- BLS Certification.
- Compliance with Continuing Education Requirements.
Responsibilities
