About The Position

This role involves conducting adult ultrasound scans, collaborating with healthcare providers and clinic staff, and performing examinations with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. The Vascular Sonographer will document findings in Onepacs and EMR systems, educate patients and families about procedures, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in Vascular Ultrasounds
• RVT Certification, ARRT Certification, ARDMS/RDMS Certification
• Ability to maintain composure under stress, using tactical and good judgment.
• Demonstrate analytical decision-making skills; ability to quickly assess and resolve technical and patient care problems.
• Ability to work both independently and as a care team member.
• Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements.
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct adult ultrasound scans on various patients
• Collaborate and communicate with the provider regarding clinical assessments and the clinic staff to ensure smooth flow within clinic operations.
• Perform examinations, recognizing the significance of all structures that are visualized, differentiating artifacts from appropriate images, while recognizing the limitations of equipment and utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Responsible for uploading and documenting measurements/reports through Onepacs systems and our EMR system.
• Educate patients and families of safe and appropriate testing; thoroughly explaining procedures, answering questions and calming concerns.
• Other duties as assigned
