About The Position

As a Vascular Sonographer at USA Clinics Group, you will provide high-quality ultrasound examinations focused on the vascular system. The primary focus is conducting thorough vascular ultrasound assessments of the lower extremities while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The role floats between the Altoona, State College, and Johnstown clinics and is part-time, Monday through Thursday, for 25–32 hours per week. Travel out of state for training is required for the first 3+ weeks. Compensation is $40–$47 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program.
Current RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist), or RPhS (Registered Phlebology Sonographer) credential, or eligibility to obtain certification within 90 days.
Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a patient-focused healthcare environment.
Ability to travel out of state for training for the first 3+ weeks.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience performing venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex studies.

Responsibilities

Perform vascular ultrasound studies, including venous insufficiency, venous reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex examinations.
Perform additional vascular imaging studies when applicable, such as carotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, and PVR testing.
Independently perform and document ultrasound examinations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
Support patient care within a vein clinic, vascular laboratory, or related vascular imaging environment.
Use PACS and EMR systems to document studies, manage images, and support clinical workflow.
Apply broad sonography knowledge when appropriate, including experience with general ultrasound modalities such as OB/GYN and abdominal.
