About The Position

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Vascular Lab Technologist for the Cardiac service line non-invasive lab. This is a full time, day shift position in Harrisonburg, Va. Must live within 30 minutes of the facility for call purposes. Hours: Schedule can be either four 9-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts with start time of 8am. Required Call: every 4th weekend from 8am to noon on Saturday and Sunday. The Sentara RMH Medical Center echocardiography and vascular lab is considered high volume with close to 9,500 procedures performed annually. The lab works closely with our invasive cardiology (structural heart, electrophysiology, diagnostic/interventional cath) and cardiothoracic surgery services. Each Team member is expected to perform about 7 exams per day. Preliminary reports are generated in ProSolv (Structured Report SW Application). Clinical equipment include state of the art Philips Epic ultrasound systems and EPIC (electronic medical record). Both inpatient and outpatient echo services are located on the Sentara RMH Medical Center main campus within the non-invasive cardiology lab.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Experience and certification required
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• BLS required
• 1 year of experience preferred

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform about 7 exams per day.
• Generate preliminary reports in ProSolv (Structured Report SW Application).
• Communicate with patients and providers.
• Provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of echocardiographic techniques, equipment, and industry standards.
