About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for a Physician specializing in Vascular & Interventional Radiology. The role involves providing clinical coverage and call duties in an inpatient setting in Las Cruces, NM. The primary need is for weekend call coverage, with the possibility of weekday procedures. The coverage period is ongoing, starting as soon as possible. The average daily patient volume is 15-18, with 3-5 phone consults. The facility uses Medhost EMR and has 4 RN support staff. Temporary privileges are available, and hospital privileges are not required.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Licensed in NM
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

- Fellowship completion preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide weekend call coverage for vascular and interventional radiology services.
- Perform interventional radiology procedures during day coverage (9a – 5p).
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies and communicate findings.
- Manage on-call consults and emergency cases.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and hospital staff.
