Vascular Access RN (PICC Nurse)-Fairfax Co, VA-WEEKENDS-PRN

VASCULAR WELLNESS MANAGEMENT•Fairfax, VA

About The Position

Vascular Wellness is hiring a part-time Vascular Access Clinician, preferably located in or near Fairfax County, Virginia. On scheduled workdays, the clinician will primarily provide vascular access services at an infusion therapy center in Annandale, Virginia, on Saturday mornings, and may also provide services at other nearby client facilities. The clinician assesses patients and recommends appropriate treatment, working independently as a professional member of an organized team. Experienced vascular access RNs trained in MST line placement are highly preferred. The role includes patient consultations to determine vascular access device appropriateness; preparation for and performance of ordered procedures within the clinician’s training and credentials; infection prevention; ultrasound-guided insertions when indicated; and complete documentation and reporting to an appropriately licensed caregiver. Clinicians must follow facility policies and procedures, understand the Nurse Practice Act in their state, adapt to different settings, communicate and teach effectively, and maintain and develop their vascular access knowledge. Training and orientation are tailored to each clinician’s developing skill set, and Administrators on Call—all RNs—are available for consultation. The schedule covers one Saturday morning at an infusion services center. Hours may occasionally be extended due to patient, client, or company needs, if the opportunity allows. Pay is $55 per hour, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
