About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff RN for a hospital-based team. The position uses specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting. The role is based at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. The position is 0.8 FTE, on day shift, with a schedule to be determined.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
Adult experience, ultrasound-guided PICC access, and current competency in PICC vascular access are listed under experience needed.
One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certification in a specialty area preferred.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
