About The Position

This position will report to the Co-Pack/Retail Fulfillment Manager and is responsible for managing assigned staff, including employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions. The supervisor oversees all computer entry work and paperwork flow, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. They are also responsible for assigning work, monitoring shipment quality, ensuring customer requirements are met, and communicating with customers. Safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors in accordance with OSHA and RJW policies are key. The role involves overseeing computer data entry, assigning duties, examining work for accuracy, and approving employee timesheets for payroll. Monitoring overtime, completing building checks, and reporting equipment or building problems are also essential. The supervisor ensures warehouse employees adhere to AIB processes for handling food products and completes all required checklists. Corrective actions and accident reporting procedures are managed, along with assisting the Co-Pack manager with equipment maintenance. The role may involve performing other duties as instructed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training in co-pack.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred).
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to determine "root cause" of problem and determine corrective action.
  • Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
  • Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
  • Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
  • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

  • Familiarity with labeling software (NiceLabel, Bartender) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned staff, including employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Supervise all computer entry work and all paperwork flow.
  • Assign work assignments for all warehouse staffing, considering customer specifications.
  • Monitor the quality and accuracy of all shipments according to customer specifications.
  • Ensure department staff meets customer requirements and that any requirement changes are updated and staff are trained on these changes.
  • Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries, implementing required actions.
  • Ensure the safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors, in accordance with OSHA and RJW policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the completion of all computer data entry, checking for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and approve all shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, including temp hours.
  • Monitor all overtime hours to meet department requirements.
  • Complete building checks daily, notifying the Co-Pack manager of equipment or building problems or preventive maintenance needed.
  • Assist with maintaining equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Ensure warehouse employees adhere to all AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines, and have received AIB training for handling food products.
  • Assure that all checklists for building, equipment, and safety are completed as designated by the SOP or Policy.
  • Issue corrective action or work orders to correct or fix any issues.
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed for accident reporting, handling the care of any injured employee, and notifying HR and management of any emergency actions taken.
  • Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by Co-Pack manager.
