About The Position
St. Benedict at Auburndale Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and faith-driven individual to serve as our Varsity Wrestling Coach. As a Catholic college-preparatory institution, we are committed to developing the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — and we seek a coach who shares that mission and models it daily for our student-athletes.
Requirements
- Practicing Catholics or individuals who fully support the Catholic mission of the school.
- High school diploma required.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to pass a diocesan background check and complete all required Safe Environment training.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior coaching or competitive wrestling experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the wrestling program, including practice sessions, conditioning, and game-day preparation.
- Recruit and develop student-athletes at both the varsity level.
- Foster a culture of discipline, sportsmanship, and Christian character.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, travel, and program needs.
- Monitor the academic progress and eligibility of all student-athletes.
- Maintain open and professional communication with parents, staff, and administration.

- Compensation is commensurate with experience and follows the Diocesan stipend schedule for coaching positions.
