About The Position

This position is for an Assistant Coach for the Coed Unified Bowling program at Edison. The role requires a strong understanding of the sport, coaching experience, and the ability to recruit and sustain the program. Specific certifications and clearances are mandatory.

Requirements

• Detailed knowledge of current practices, rules, principles, and technical skills of bowling.
• Ability to recruit and sustain a program.
• Valid and up-to-date First Aid, CPR, AED & Concussion Management certifications.
• Valid and up-to-date DASA certification.
• NYS Coaching certification.
• Completion of an internship for the particular sport OR possession of a temporary or permanent NYS coaching license for the particular sport.
• Proof of NYS fingerprinting clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Head/assistant coaching experience at the Modified level or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching the Varsity Unified Bowling program.
• Recruit and sustain the bowling program.
• Ensure adherence to current practices, rules, principles, and technical skills of bowling.
• Maintain valid certifications including First Aid, CPR, AED & Concussion Management, DASA, and NYS Coaching certification.
• Provide proof of NYS fingerprinting clearance.
