About The Position

This position involves assisting the head football coach in various aspects of managing a high school football program, including planning and conducting practices, teaching skills and strategies, supervising student athletes, and promoting positive character development. The role requires ensuring athlete safety, assisting with equipment, and supporting compliance with all relevant rules and policies. Effective communication and logistical support are also key components of this role.

Requirements

• Assist the head coach in planning, organizing, and conducting practices, training sessions, and competitions.
• Teach and reinforce sports specific skills, techniques, and team strategies.
• Supervised student athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and positive character development.
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and constructive feedback to student athletes.
• Assist with game preparation, opponent scouting, and in game coaching responsibilities.
• Help monitor student athlete performance, attendance, and academic progress.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student athletes by following established safety procedures and protocols.
• Assist with setup, maintenance, inventory, and distribution of equipment and uniforms.
• Support compliance with league, school, organizational, and athletic department rules and policies.
• Communicate effectively with coaches, student athletes, parents, administrators, and officials.
• Assist with team logistics, scheduling, travel arrangements, and event coordination.
• Attend required meetings, practices, competitions, and professional development activities.
