About The Position

Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative Varsity Head Baseball Coach for Lakeland High School. This position is for the School Year 2026-2027 and reports to the Athletic Director. The coach will be responsible for instructing athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, instilling respect for equipment and school property, and scheduling practices, clinics, camps, and competitions.

Requirements

• Able to instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for athletes to realize a degree of individual and team success
• High School diploma and/or related experience
• Ability to speak and write effectively
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a player is desired but not necessary
• Coaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites
• Perform duties which may be assigned by the Athletic Director
• Instill in each player a respect for equipment, and school property
• Schedule all practices, clinics, camps and competitions
• Continue to grow professionally by attending seminars and clinics
• Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation
• Implement and design clinics in order to promote the sport
