About The Position
St. Benedict at Auburndale Catholic High School is seeking an enthusiastic and mission-aligned individual to serve as our Varsity Cross Country Coach. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about distance running and equally committed to forming young men and women of faith, character, and academic excellence.
Requirements
- Practicing Catholics or individuals who fully support the Catholic mission of the school
- High school diploma required
- Successfully complete a diocesan background check
- Successfully complete all required Safe Environment training
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong motivational skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior coaching experience strongly preferred
- Prior competitive running experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive training program for varsity runners
- Oversee athlete conditioning, race preparation, and meet-day logistics
- Build a competitive and spiritually grounded team culture
- Work collaboratively with the Athletic Director on scheduling, travel arrangements, and program development
- Track student-athlete academic standing and eligibility throughout the season
- Maintain clear and timely communication with parents, school staff, and administration
Benefits
- Compensation is commensurate with experience and follows the Diocesan stipend schedule for coaching positions.
