Varsity Cheerleading Head Coach - 2026/2027
About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking a Varsity Cheerleading Head Coach for the 26-27 season. This role involves supporting the Varsity program with the athletic director and other coaching staff, implementing off-season programs, attending PIAA meetings and trainings, and understanding PIAA Competitive Spirit regulations. The coach will also support athletic teams during contests, understand music copyright laws, and work to build school morale and spirit. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development and the Propel Habits.
Requirements
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Prior cheerleading experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a head coach or assistant coach
- Demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level
- Understanding of PIAA Competitive Spirit regulations
- Understanding of music copyright laws
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
- A commitment to the Propel Habits
Responsibilities
- Support the Varsity program with the athletic director and other coaching staff.
- Implement off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
- Attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations.
- Support athletic teams during contests.
- Build school morale and school spirit.

- Seasonal stipend of $2,000 (prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season)
