About The Position

Coe College seeks enthusiastic candidates for the position of Head Coach of Cheerleading. This part-time position is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising a varsity cheerleading program within the spirit, policies, and rules of Coe College. The head coach is responsible for all aspects of coaching the team including recruiting, annual budget oversight, practice, competition, and travel. The head coach is responsible for designing and administering programs, policies, and services that will contribute to the education and welfare of its student-athletes.

• Successful completion of a driver and criminal background check in accordance with Coe College policy.
• Ability to work harmoniously with coaches of other sports teams, athletic staff members, faculty members, and college administrators.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous high school or college cheerleading team coaching/directing experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and safety associated with directing a varsity college cheer team.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the techniques, fundamentals and best practices associated with coaching a varsity college cheer team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise practices and competitions.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes that have inquired about attending Coe College and participating in the varsity cheer team.
• Manage assigned budgets.
• Secure and maintain equipment and uniforms.
