About The Position
The Board of Education of Middlesex County Magnet Schools is currently accepting applications for Varsity Cheerleading Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary will be based on the Varsity Coaches' salary guide in effect for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is appointed annually. This position will be located at our East Brunswick campus.
Requirements
- Holder of a New Jersey State Teacher's Certificate and/or a County Substitute's Certificate
- Knowledgeable background in the sport as a player or coach in college or in high school
- Certified in CPR/AED and Sports First Aid
- If new to the profession, must register for the NFHS Coaching Principles Course within 120 days of employment
- Familiar with AACCA School Cheer Safety Rules and AACCA Spirit Safety
- Completed the "A Guide to Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention" course
- Completed the "Concussion in Sports � What you need to Know."
Nice To Haves
- Three years of sub-varsity coaching preferred
- Successful background in working with young people in a related sports field
