About The Position

Beacon Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach to lead and develop its high school boys soccer program for the Fall 2026 season. This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about player development, team culture, and mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive environment built on accountability, sportsmanship, and personal growth while helping student-athletes maximize their potential as competitors, teammates, and leaders.

Requirements

• Successful completion of all required background checks and coaching certifications

Nice To Haves

• Previous soccer coaching and/or playing experience at the high school, club, collegiate, or equivalent level
• Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, player development, and tactical strategy
• Experience working with and mentoring adolescents
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and growth-oriented environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, faculty, and administrators

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate practices and competitions
• Teach fundamental and advanced soccer skills, tactics, and game strategy
• Create a positive team culture rooted in respect, accountability, inclusion, and sportsmanship
• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and athletic department staff
• Collaborate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, program needs, and athlete support
• Attend required coaches' meetings and school-related athletic events
• Ensure compliance with school policies and applicable athletic association regulations
• Help recruit and retain student participation within the soccer program
• Serve as a positive role model and representative of Beacon Academy
