About The Position

This position is responsible for directing the High School Varsity Baseball program, including the conduct of student-athletes at practice and games. The coach will also assist the athletic director with scheduling, budget, uniform inventory, and volunteer workers. Responsibilities include planning and organizing facilities for home games and tournaments, communicating with the press and league, and displaying tact, courtesy, and good sportsmanship. The coach will inspire a passion for the game at all levels.

Requirements

• College graduate and significant experience working with youth preferred.
• Prior successful experience preferred.
• Ability to motivate students towards team goals.
• Ability to work within the confines of the budget.
• Ability to successfully communicate with parents and community members.
• Ability to distribute and collect all school uniforms, equipment and other school property in an organized manner.
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of Michigan High School Athletic Association as to competitions, eligibility, training and participation.
• Proven ability to work with all other coaches.
• All other duties as required to fulfill the job description of the position.
