About The Position

Norfolk Waterside Marriott is hosting a Job Fair on Tuesday, September 15th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, to interview candidates for various hospitality positions. These roles involve maintaining positive guest relations, resolving guest complaints, and adhering to hotel and brand standards. Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent
• Prefer 1-2 years’ experience in hospitality industry in similar position.
• Good understanding of the English language and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Previous guest/customer relations training preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment and proper chemical handling
• Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds.
• Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 125 pounds.
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.
• Must be able to reach above head and shoulder height to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Always maintain positive guest relations.
• Work to resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and communicating effectively with guests as well as team members.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
• Responsible for knowing and abiding by all department, Commonwealth Lodging Management and hotel policies and procedures.
• Responsible for knowing and abiding by the brand standards, policies and procedures.
