About The Position

Drive a 14-passenger Van/Bus, SUVs, and wheelchair vans to functions and appointments for residents. No CDL required for this job. GNA/CNA preferred. Valid driver's license required. Our Mission Statement Honor Christ through faithful service to seniors and one another.

Requirements

Valid driver's license required.
Able to drive the van/bus in rural or urban areas.
Ability to drive the van/bus in a way that residents feel safe.
Treats the residents with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

Drive a 14-passenger Van/Bus, SUVs, and wheelchair vans to functions and appointments for residents.
Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as well as personnel matters as confidential information.
Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.
Drives the bus/van vehicle in a safe manner according to facility policy.
Operates all functions of vehicles in a safe manner.
Uses communication equipment for any routine or emergency situation.
Promptly reports any and all suspected mechanical problems to the appropriate person.
Maintains an accurate and current log (book) for each trip.
Responsible for fueling vehicles after use. In some situations maintenance may be responsible for fueling. If maintenance performs the fueling then drivers will need to report and provide ample notice on a vehicle which is low in fuel.
Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.
Assists in the loading and unloading of residents.
Drives in various types of traffic/weather conditions, bending, lifting and loading small packages up to 50 lbs. several times throughout the shift, able to change tires and sitting for long periods of time.
