About The Position

Active Learning Centers is seeking a caring, dependable, and safety-minded Van Driver to join their team. This role is crucial for providing before and after school transportation for children, with drivers acting as a trusted and familiar face in a child's day. The goal is to create a safe, positive, and welcoming experience from the moment a child enters the van. Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to meet all applicable Pennsylvania childcare transportation requirements
• Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances for PA childcare
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation to and from the ALC location
• Great with kids and genuinely enjoys interacting with children
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible
• Safety-minded and committed to putting children's well-being first
• Friendly, patient, and positive
• Calm and mature when handling unexpected situations
• Comfortable communicating with children, families, and staff
• A team player who takes pride in being someone our children can count on
• Willing to follow all ALC transportation, safety, and supervision expectations

Responsibilities

• Provide school transportation routes before and after school.
• Conduct morning transportation.
• Conduct afternoon transportation.
• Occasional field trips and additional driving opportunities may be available.
