About The Position

This is a full-time Van Driver position in Little Rock, Arkansas. The role involves the safe and efficient operation of an assigned motor vehicle, with extensive contact with patients/residents of a nursing home facility. Responsibilities include assisting ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals enter and leave the vehicle, ensuring passengers are safely seated, and securing mobility devices like walkers and wheelchairs. The driver will also maintain records of bus trips, residents attending, and document mileage and time. Additionally, performing preventive maintenance on the vehicle, such as checking lights, fluid levels, and tire pressure, and reporting the need for further service or repair is required.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of methods and techniques used to load, secure, and unload passengers from a motor vehicle
Skill in the operation and basic maintenance of assigned motor vehicle
Ability to find geographic locations
Ability to follow oral/ written instructions and keep a record of activities
Ability to lift, maneuver, and support materials of up to 80 pounds
Ability to establish and effective working relationships with residents and staff
Possession of a valid driver’s license
Good driving record
Must be a CNA
