About The Position

Dover Precision Components (DPC) is seeking an Entry Level Valve Technician who will be trained for assembling (disassembly) valve/packing cases and inspecting all items that come into the Valve shop. This role offers a $2,000 Sign-on Bonus upon successful completion of hands-on training provided on-site after 90 days and a $2,000 retention bonus once the candidate completes 1 year of service in the new role. Requirements

  • Ability to learn basic blueprint reading
  • Ability to learn various micrometers: Calipers, OD-ID Micrometers. Depth micrometers.
  • Ability to solve problems based on limited standards.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • HS diploma or related job experience
  • Manufacturing background.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble (disassembly) valves/packing cases correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Test all valves and packing cases according to company procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in company Lean and 5S initiatives.
