About The Position

A Valve Shop Helper is responsible for assisting with various valve maintenance and repairs in Danos valve warehouses. This role requires mechanical inclination and the ability to support valve technicians. The position also involves general housekeeping, preventative maintenance on equipment, and ensuring compliance with all safety and project rules. The helper will participate in safety training and assist with emergency procedures. Additionally, they will be responsible for the proper care of test instruments and tools, and must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Candidates MUST be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Records Check.
Mechanically inclined.
Valid TWIC card.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Live within 45 minutes from the shop.
High School Graduate or have a GED.
Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed and must be available for call outs as required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with valves is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist Valve Technician as needed.
Identify and use basic hand tools.
Perform general housekeeping.
Provide account manager support by phone and email.
Complete preventative maintenance on department equipment.
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
Perform other duties as required.
Responsible for participating in all safety training and assisting in safety procedures such as first aid, CPR, fire drills, and emergency evacuation.
Take proper care of test instruments and tools in their care.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently without direct supervision.
