Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 3 years of nursing experience in cardiology or critical care
- Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of current medical, surgical and pharmaceutical treatment modalities of the cardiothoracic surgical patient.
- Experience in program development, quality improvement, research, development of evidence based clinical protocols, and regulatory readiness program planning.
- Previous experience in professional presentations and group education
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
Responsibilities
- Coordination of evaluation and screening process for patients with cardiac disease being evaluated for complex cardiac surgery.
- Serve as the primary point person for the valve team, including physicians, patients, and other clinical professionals.
- Coordination of inter-departmental processes and communication.
- Make recommendations to physician team for final determination.
- Serve as patient navigator.
