About The Position

Farris Engineering is seeking a Valve Assembler to join its Production Team in Brecksville, Ohio. This associate-level manufacturing role focuses on producing high-quality parts in a timely fashion and assembling components into configured products. The work includes following written instructions and technical drawings, inspecting parts, documenting quality checks, and keeping the work area orderly. Duties may also include testing and final preparation of products. Overtime and weekend work may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Six months of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility, self-motivation, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Assemble components into a final configured product.
Use process and drawing instructions, blueprints, specialized tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools.
Inspect and prepare valve parts according to written visual work instructions (VWIs).
Complete required quality-control documents according to customer orders.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Perform testing and final preparation for various product lines within the assembly team, as needed.
