As the Value Stream Manager, you will be responsible for creating a work environment that prioritizes employee safety, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the consistent production of high-quality products delivered on time and within established cost targets. This role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and involves managing the manufacturing process of multiple value streams. The Value Stream Manager is tasked with effectively utilizing materials, labor, and equipment to meet the business plan while maintaining a safe work environment. This position is critical for ensuring efficient and effective production processes to meet customer demands while adhering to cost targets.

Requirements

  • Results-driven with a demonstrated ability to work in a high-performance manufacturing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate, communicate and lead continuous improvement
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Solid planning, organization, and administrative skills
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-5 Years of leadership experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing other managers
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Greenbelt certification
  • Manufacturing management experience, preferably in a team-based environment
  • Project management experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the charge in creating a work environment that prioritizes the safety of all employees
  • Play a critical role in driving operational efficiency
  • Ensure the consistent production of high-quality products that are delivered on time to customers within established cost targets
  • Manage the manufacturing process of multiple value streams
  • Effectively utilize materials, labor, and equipment to meet the business plan while ensuring a safe work environment
  • Champion health and safety, environment, and 6S programs
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Quality to eliminate waste and improve process capability
  • Use continuous improvement tools and methodologies to troubleshoot recurring issues and eliminate root-cause process failures
  • Assure availability of all resources necessary to operate the value stream, including adequate labor, technical and maintenance resources, and all other required direct support
  • Coordinate with Production Control and associates to support schedule sequencing and proper schedule attainment
  • Perform other related duties as required
