We are seeking Value Stream Managers to join Moog's Space and Defense Group at our high-production facility in Blacksburg, VA. This onsite role reports to the Motion Control General Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline
  • 7 years’ experience in a related operations role within a complex manufacturing environment
  • 7 of direct leadership experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external customers.
  • A proven track record of driving results and improving business performance.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change, managing ambiguity, and influencing others to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing lean production, process improvement tools, Kaizen, LMS, etc.
  • Experience providing employees with effective feedback, coaching, and development.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, as well as excellent communication abilities at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated business and technical acumen, with the ability to engage the right organizational resources to resolve customer problems efficiently.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational performance in quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Financial acumen and demonstrated experience driving success and improvements

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize an end‑to‑end value stream to ensure efficient flow of product
  • Align teams and priorities to customer and business needs and outcomes
  • Coordinates cross‑functional delivery across engineering, operations, and stakeholders
  • Measures and improves value performance using flow, quality, and outcome metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement and remove constraints across the value stream
  • KPIs – OTD, Lead Time, Quality, Revenue, Cost Control, Safety, Employee turnover
