About The Position

Eaton’s AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems Aerospace division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager - Manufacturing Production. The Value Stream Manager will be responsible for overseeing and leading all activities associated with manufacturing and production of deliverable product to meet customer expectations. The Value Stream Manager (VSM) will be responsible for the supervision and development of both hourly and salaried resources within their High Performance Work Team (HPWT). The VSM will drive continuous improvement in production, quality and safety while utilizing the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in mfg. operations or operations support
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Candidate will not need sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a DOT-required pre-employment drug test.
  • Individuals hired into this role remain subject to ongoing drug and/or alcohol testing, including random testing, in accordance with federal regulations.

  • Knowledge of CNC machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Strong project management / problem solving skills .
  • Experience with working on and leading cross functional teams.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Persuasive Communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for achieving a zero-incident culture by completing and turning in safety observations
  • Escalate any safety concerns to EHS Manager
  • Own CONC Metrics and overall Quality Performance for the HPWT.
  • Direct priorities for the HPWT to achieve Delivery Goals.
  • Own the overall cost of the Value Stream.
  • Set the tone for improvement including idea generation and participation in Site CI initiatives.
  • Train and develop team members as well as provide oversight and coaching to other team members.
  • Provide the vision and strategy.
  • Lead by example – be a positive role model.
  • Actively engage and recognize employees.
  • Empower employees, provide resources and remove barriers for development.
