Latitude Corp. is seeking a Value Stream Manager - Commercial to join their 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team. This is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday-Friday shift, though occasional after-hours support may be required. Requirements

  • Ability to bend, lift up to 40 pounds, perform work in confined spaces when running cabling, and possess sufficient dexterity to work on computer hardware.

  • Knowledge of commercial-related Quality requirements and ability to uphold and maintain them.

  • Strong Leadership, teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with and ensuring compliance to AS9000 requirements.
  • Experienced in the use of Word, Excel and an ERP type production, costing, inventory control, and purchasing system.
  • Ten years’ manufacturing experience and 5 years’ supervisory experience required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Conflict resolution experience desired.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, desired.
  • Epicor preferred as ERP system.
  • Experienced in low to medium volume high mix manufacturing environment with a focus in sheet metal fabrication, preferred.
  • Experience leading the production and scheduling of Commercial related programs.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Science or Business preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Defining, establishing, and continually improving the Value Stream for Commercial programs/products.
  • Ensuring the SQDCI (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory) of Commercial Programs through planning, procurement, manufacturing, and delivery processes.
  • Leading a cross-functional team to effectively plan and execute SQDCI.
  • Setting vision, executing strategic plans, leading change efforts, and motivating teams to achieve goals.
  • Managing assigned budgets.
  • Managing capital equipment projects and identifying capital equipment needs for the Commercial Programs Value Stream.
  • Directing and coordinating the execution of manufacturing operations and schedules based on sales requirements and value stream capacity.
  • Establishing cross-functional teams, managing and developing team members, and identifying and closing skill gaps.
  • Partnering with the Commercial Program Manager to lead new product introduction and production planning activities.
  • Reviewing supply chain to optimize and control inventory levels and purchasing strategies.
  • Reviewing and optimizing production resource requirements (equipment, people) to meet customer expectations.
  • Developing and executing layout changes for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing methods and product flow.
  • Engaging with customers to resolve problems, enhance productivity, and support requirements.
  • Tracking metrics and making process changes if SQDCI targets are not met.
  • Ensuring employees are adequately trained and competent.
  • Ensuring quality standards, policies, and procedures are met and upheld.
  • Ensuring all employees work safely and hazardous conditions are eliminated.
  • Acting as a role model for communication.
  • Supervising and monitoring assigned employees, including hiring, termination, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
  • Assisting with manufacturing process difficulties to ensure effective corrections and implementation.
  • Ensuring government requirements and regulations are followed.
  • Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned.
