About The Position

The purpose of this position is to lead the value stream(s) in the production environment of ECS. The primary objective of this role is to maximize company resources while supporting customers through product assembly and on-time shipments. This position will work on a variety of continuous improvement projects to help the facility improve operations. The Value Stream Leader has direct reports and reports to the Value Stream Manager.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills. Able to understand complex issues and provide appropriate, effective solutions
  • Strong ability to assemble & analyze data from various systems to get to opportunity/root cause
  • Anticipates internal customer needs accurately and quickly establishes creditability with internal customers
  • Proven success as a team member, collaborating, cross-functionally, and participating in diverse thinking
  • Ability to achieve goals through influencing others
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must have the ability to effectively handle multiple tight timeline situations
  • Flexible and a strong willingness to adapt and be an advocate for change
  • Ability to work through multiple obstacles to complete daily tasks
  • Knowledge of how to collect data to effectively negotiate
  • HS Diploma or equivalent - required
  • Five years’ experience in manufacturing/assembly environment – required
  • Two years’ experience in manufacturing/assembly environment as a manager of minimum 15 Direct/Indirect Reports - required

Responsibilities

  • Own Skilled Based Progression (SBP) Program with support of each Area Leads
  • Lead production processes through Area Leads
  • Manage hourly resources in production
  • Develop team members to support needs of the business
  • Support ever-changing organization as it grows
  • Interact with Materials group, specifically scheduler to optimize production performance
  • Support development and implementation of material handling processes for facility
  • Work with Materials team to ensure the plant meets all inventory target levels while minimizing shortages
  • Act as primary in scheduling and payroll system for production team
  • Flex resources as need to overcome schedule adversity and maximize on-time delivery
  • Conduct and assist with continuous improvement activities to help production function more efficiently
  • Personally strengthen leadership and skills to support on-going growth of organization
