About The Position

Radio Frequency Technologies Operations has an opening for a Value Stream Leader in the Radio Frequency Head (RFH) Value Stream. Responsibilities include full leadership and management accountability regarding the performance on all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for the multi-cell/multi-shift operation. The Value Stream Leader will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational excellence throughout the organization. This position requires an independent, self-motivated leader, that can drive the organization to meet goals and objectives consistently. This role requires daily interaction with other cross-business teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance and various program management offices. Achieving/exceeding safety, quality, delivery, cost goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using CORE, six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.

Requirements

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
Experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and/or Engineering.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Strong management experience including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
Manufacturing or industrial engineering and supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), presentation skills and interpersonal skills to manage tasks that bridge operations, production control, engineering, supply chain, and customer relations.

High computer literacy and with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM, VBS)

Responsibilities

Own and oversee the entire RFH value stream including safety, manpower planning, execution/on-time delivery, achieving cost targets and quality performance
Supports deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress and drive continuous improvement.
Workforce planning and forecasting including employee hiring, training and development
Area layout and flow management including capital identification and control of overhead expenses
Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and enhance productivity
Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost, quality, delivery, and safety to identify areas of improvement and ensure operational excellence
Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and other departments to resolve challenges, support new product introductions, and maintain production schedules
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, ensuring their requirements are met and any concerns are addressed in a timely manner
Identify potential risks within the value stream and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on operations
Ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures
