About The Position

Caterpillar’s Earthmoving division is hiring for a Global Value Chain Engineering Manager in Peoria, IL! Role Summary: In this role you will manage engineering support to design product value chain and resource planning working with logistics, operations, product and process engineering, product support and lifecycle management to achieve customer availability requirements and internal financial commitments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes; ability to analyze, improve and re-evaluate organizational procurement process continuously.
