Value Analysis Specialist, RN
About The Position
The Value Analysis Specialist, RN is responsible for systemwide oversight of medical supply selection for WakeMed Med Surg Nursing Units and Physician Practices. The role manages and leads the Med Surg Value Analysis Committee (VAC), including product selection, cost/benefit analyses, assessment of clinical quality impact, and compliance with Group Purchasing Organization contracts. The specialist presents research on clinical quality and cost to the Value Analysis Steering Team (VAST), led by Chief Medical Officers, to support product selection. The position requires in-depth knowledge of patient care policies, procedures, and the products needed to provide exceptional treatment. The specialist also leads Supply Chain efforts to identify substitute products during manufacturer backorders, works with Risk Management to report and process defective products, and serves as a system administrator for recalls and alerts.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Three years of clinical experience in acute care.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Administration.
- Three years of experience in supply ordering and expediting or leadership.
