RSM is hiring a Director of Business Valuation focused on Complex Financial Instruments (CFI) to join its Valuation Team. The role involves varied valuation projects and exposure to financial analysis, business and financial modeling, and forecasting. Valuations may cover complex financial instruments and derivatives, including convertible instruments, embedded derivatives, earn-outs, interest rate derivatives, common and preferred stock, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other securities and derivative products. Services support mergers and acquisitions, venture financing and public offerings, tax planning and compliance, financial reporting, and strategic planning, as well as assurance and tax clients’ valuation needs. The Director develops and maintains business through sales and marketing, referral networks, peer relationships, and thought leadership. The position serves as a primary client advisor, manages CFI engagement teams, oversees and develops valuation professionals, and manages client relationships and engagement fundamentals. The role also promotes cross-selling and integration across service lines and supports the firm’s strategy and brand. RSM describes most roles as following a hybrid workstyle, with team members aligned to an RSM office and meeting in person when appropriate for clients, teams, development, or relationship-building. Some roles may be virtual or primarily on-site depending on role requirements, team priorities, and client needs. The role requires flexibility to travel to clients and other RSM offices. The compensation range is $160,900–$323,400. Selected candidates are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance. RSM provides a competitive benefits and compensation package; further benefits information is available through its careers website.
