RSM is seeking a Director of Business Valuation focused on Complex Financial Instruments (CFI) to join its Valuation Team. The role provides exposure to financial analysis, business and financial modeling and forecasting, and valuations of complex financial instruments and derivatives, including convertible instruments, embedded derivatives, earn-outs, interest rate derivatives, common and preferred stock, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative products. Valuation services support clients’ mergers and acquisitions, venture financing and public offerings, tax planning and compliance, financial reporting, and strategic planning, as well as assurance and tax clients’ valuation needs. The director will lead business development and marketing in the valuation practice, serve as a primary client advisor, manage CFI engagement teams, and oversee, train, and develop valuation professionals. The role also manages client relationships and engagement fundamentals, contributes thought leadership, mentors staff, supports cross-selling, and helps integrate the firm’s strategy and brand. RSM describes most roles as following a hybrid workstyle, with team members aligned to an RSM office and meeting in person when useful for client work, teams, development, or relationship-building. Some roles may be virtual or primarily on-site depending on role requirements, team priorities, and client needs. Travel to clients and other RSM offices is required for this role. Compensation is listed as $160,900–$323,400, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
