Requirements

  • Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, physics, or related field preferred; equivalent technical experience considered.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with electronic test equipment, instrumentation, or calibration environments.
  • Strong ability to follow detailed technical procedures and work instructions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in NVLAP or ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory settings.
  • Familiarity with radiation detection and dosimetry equipment.
  • Knowledge of calibration methodologies and quality systems.
  • Proficient in electronic troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration verification, functional testing, and troubleshooting of electronic dosimeters and radiation detection instruments.
  • Accurately document calibration results and maintain comprehensive calibration and service records.
  • Execute established calibration procedures in compliance with NVLAP accreditation and internal quality standards.
  • Ensure all equipment meets operational specifications and customer requirements before release.
  • Support audits, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement initiatives for accredited services.
  • Conduct minor repairs, inspections, and maintain laboratory organization and equipment readiness.
  • Adhere to radiation safety, EHS, and quality compliance procedures.
  • Communicate equipment status, nonconformances, and technical issues to supervisors and engineering staff.
