About The Position

Being a change agent promoting disciplined, model-based systems engineering within the Validation organization and throughout Pratt & Whitney. Responsibilities may include working on tasks related to commercial engines, military engines or both depending on business need. May be required to obtain a security clearance. Developing familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering, SysML (graphical modeling language) and Magic Grid methodology. Gaining exposure to jet propulsion design and test basics. Learning, refining, and creating Verification and Validation MBSE frameworks and methods – can include optimizing with coded scripts or AI tools. Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in systems engineering discipline.
  • Experience with MBSE, SysML and/or programming experience in Java or similar.
  • Experience integrating Artificial Intelligence into engineering tool suites or processes.
  • Experience with aircraft engine systems and validation processes.
