About The Position

Serves as potential first contact point for visitors and patients of the hospital by providing an alternate service to customers parking their own vehicles. Greets customers and parks their vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Assists with wheelchair as well as entering and exiting vehicle.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• No more than 2 points on license within the last two year period.
• Less than 3 points on license at time of hire.
• Must be able to be insured by hospital insurance for driving.
• Must be able to effectively operate all standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Must be able to walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend to get into and out of cars on a continual basis.
• Must be able to assist customers into wheelchairs and push them into the building.
• Must be able to lift light to medium weight overnight bags/packages into the lobby area.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and relevant personnel.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and park their vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Assist with wheelchairs, including helping patients enter and exit vehicles.
• Operate all standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Work outside in all types of weather.
• Report additional points obtained to HR within 48 hours of issue that may affect insurance eligibility (DUI).
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may include operation of entrance screening and wayfinding, and visitation management.
