About The Position

The Valet position at Residence Inn is a full-time role responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests. Key responsibilities include greeting guests, safely parking and retrieving vehicles, managing keys and records, assisting with luggage, and maintaining a clean and organized valet area. The role also involves monitoring traffic flow, adhering to safety regulations, and communicating effectively with team members and management. A professional appearance and demeanor are expected at all times, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hospitality or related setting.
  • Proven experience in handling and parking vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience adhering to strict safety and security protocols.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and presentable appearance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in designated areas, following established procedures and traffic laws.
  • Maintain accurate records of parked vehicles, including keys and vehicle information.
  • Assist guests with luggage and other belongings, ensuring their safe handling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized valet area, including sweeping, emptying trash receptacles, and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Monitor traffic flow and direct vehicles efficiently to minimize congestion.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing proper attire and using safety equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with other valet attendants, security personnel, and other staff members.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
