About The Position

The Valet Runner is responsible for exemplifying MCR's values by demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism. This role involves directing vehicle traffic, securing transportation, assisting with luggage, and safely parking, securing, and retrieving guest vehicles. The Valet Runner will record guest information and parking details, provide information about the hotel and surrounding areas, and deliver efficient, gracious, and professional service to maximize guest satisfaction. Maintaining a professional appearance, responding to guest service issues, and reporting to management are key aspects of the role. Safety is paramount, requiring responsible driving and awareness of surroundings. The position also includes greeting visitors, opening doors, assisting elderly/disabled guests, operating guest vehicles safely, and maintaining a positive attitude in various weather conditions. The Valet Runner will recommend alternative transportation for intoxicated guests, promote a positive and safe work environment, and ensure the security of vehicles and belongings. Follow-up with guests to ensure satisfaction, manage parking area operations, document incidents, and report accidents or hazards are also part of the duties. The role requires monitoring and maintaining the safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas, redirecting traffic when necessary, and communicating with staff. Professional engagement with guests and team members, performing assigned duties, and smiling are expected.

Requirements

VALID WASHINGTON STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE with a clean driving record (MVR)
Able to drive stick shift transmission.
Able to drive all types of vehicles.
Thorough knowledge of local areas and roads.
3 years’ experience driving vehicles.
Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
Ability to walk, stand, and run for prolonged periods of time.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.

Directs vehicle traffic, secures transportation, and assists with luggage.
Safely parks, secures, and promptly retrieves guest vehicles.
Records guest information and parking details on valet ticket.
Provides information about the hotel, restaurant, and surrounding areas.
Delivers efficient, gracious, and professional service to maximize guest satisfaction.
Maintains professional appearance, responds to guest service issues, and reports to management.
Prioritizes safety while driving responsibly.
Greets visitors, opens doors, and assists elderly/disabled guests.
Operates guest vehicles safely, ensuring security and providing accurate directions.
Maintains a positive attitude in extreme weather conditions.
Recommends alternative transportation for intoxicated guests, following policies.
Promotes a positive and safe work environment, ensuring security of vehicles and belongings.
Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction.
Manages opening and closing of parking area/facility.
Documents and reports vehicle incidents and maintains shift logs.
Reports accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, and security/safety hazards to supervisor.
Monitors and maintains safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas.
Redirects traffic when parking facility is full and communicates with staff.
Engages guests and team members professionally.
Performs assigned duties and responsibilities.
Smile and engage guests and team members with a positive professional demeanor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
